Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sight Reading Pro (the “Service”), operated by Sight Reading Pro (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sight Reading Pro generates practice sight-reading exercises and renders them as notation you can read, hear, and print. Exercises are produced procedurally; we do not guarantee any particular musical result or learning outcome.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, which you access by a one-time sign-in link sent to your email. You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in and for activity under your account. Notify us at info@sightreadingpro.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Free tier and subscriptions

A limited amount of practice is available for free. Unlimited access requires a paid subscription (currently $36 per year). The free allowance and pricing may change; changes will not affect the period you have already paid for.

4. Billing, renewal, and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each year until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your subscription then remains active until the end of the period you have paid for, and it will not renew again. Payments are non-refundable — we do not provide refunds for partial or unused periods. We do not see or store your full card details; those are handled by Stripe.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• resell, redistribute, or share paid access with others;
• copy, scrape, or bulk-download exercises to recreate or compete with the Service;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
• use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.

6. Your use of generated exercises

You may use the exercises the Service generates for your own practice, teaching, and lessons, including printing them for your students. The Service software, generator, notation rendering, name, and branding remain our property and are not licensed to you except as needed to use the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. It is an educational practice tool and does not guarantee any level of skill, exam result, or performance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. If changes are material we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
